That is why we built it this way. The reader decides on its own and fills the log in when the line returns.
What about power cuts?
The door stays locked, the exit button still opens it by hand, and entry resumes the second power is back.
Members whose plan has run out still walk in.
Not any more. The reader checks the plan and dues on every entry, so an expired card or pass does not open the lock. The desk can still let someone in, and that entry carries the staff name.
My members will not use an app.
They do not need to. A card works exactly as it does today. The app is for whoever wants it.
Can a member share a screenshot of their pass?
A screenshot opens nothing. The pass works once, at one place, and is dead thirty seconds after it appears.
We get day visitors and guests.
Let them in from the desk. It is written down with the staff name on it, like any other entry.
We are not a gym.
Neither is the door. Choose your kind of place, and every screen uses its words: swimmers at a pool, readers at a library, members at a gym or a co-working space.
I already paid for a fingerprint machine.
Keep it for staff attendance. It was never built to know who paid, and that is the part costing you money.
